About Me

I'm Azure West (they/them pronouns), I'm a 20 year old disability activist with my main focus being improving disability representation, and I'm a published writer. So far I have been published on Teen Vogue and Richmond Pulse.

This blog is a place for me to write about ableism I witness and/or experience (everything from lack of representation to myself being mistreated).

Up to this point, for the last year or so I have been talking about ableism on my Twitter. But since the exchange of ownership with the site, I thought it would be best to get my own place (so to speak).

Whether you're looking for someone who understands or you want to learn more about what others go through, this might just be the place for you.

Azure is smiling at the camera. They have shoulder lenghth wavy brown hair, a strand of it is falling in front of their eye. They are wearing a black sports bra with a short sleeve newspaper print shirt over it, necklaces, and red lipstick. Their wheelchair handlebar is in the bottom left corner. The background is green grass and many tree trunks.
